Grounded – Garibaldi Park, BC

Life can be hectic. There’s work to do, family and friends to catch up with, things to learn, email to check, blogs to update, tweets to tweet, calories to burn, fun to plan, the list is exhaustive. It is as if we’re  always running behind, leaving items unchecked off our many to-do lists. Then one day your body says enough and you wake up with a frog in your throat and aches in your bones. Like a last resort to get you to stop, rest, recover.

When I look at this photo I see how it can be easy to get lost in the swirls of to-dos, but it’s a great reminder to instead focus on the now, and finally feel the warmth of the sun on your untanned feet.

Breathe. Calm. Be present.

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” Master Oogway

(originally by Alice Morse Earle, but Master Oogway says it better!)

  1. I went into the future, it was yesterday. I went back yesterday and it was tomorrow, so I am here now, where are you?? George Lai
